I'm Janet, an expressive impressionist fine artist.

I studied New Media at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I discovered the foundations of Fine Art while exploring the intersection of art and technology.

Now settled on the inspiring Central Coast, I primarily work with acrylic and oil. I love using vibrant colors and experimenting with mixed media to create abstract pieces that reflect my inner world. I've also been drawn to a style that blends abstraction with the beauty of landscapes, resulting in an expressive impressionistic vibe.

As an outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy traveling, hiking and camping. These adventures, often with my loyal companion Toby, inspire my artwork. When I paint him, his lively gestures and energetic spirit become intertwined with my own emotions. His unique black and white coat and expressive tail add a dynamic touch to my creations.

In my landscape paintings, I delight in capturing the interplay of light and shadow. I use vibrant colors and abstract forms to bring them to life. I categorize my landscape paintings as petscapes, skyscapes, seascapes, and landscapes. In skyscapes, I contemplate the beauty of God's creation. In seascapes, I observe the dynamic interactions of people with the ocean. My paintings reflect my personal daily experiences and observations with nature, as well as the expression of my emotions and gratitude.

Through my art, I constantly challenge myself to explore new ways of expressing my creativity. It brings me immense satisfaction and joy to witness my growth and evolution as an artist. Thank you for allowing me to share a glimpse of my artistic journey with you.
